Travel Vaccinations

We are now offering travel vaccinations as part of the NHS provision.   These vaccines are free.  We are offering the following NHS vaccines for travel, these include:

  • cholera
  • hepatitis A
  • paratyphoid
  • poliomyelitis
  • smallpox
  • typhoid.

Please download the Form and return to the Surgery reception team.  The completed form can be emailed to bradleystoke.prescriptions@nhs.net

A nurse will assess the form and you will then be called in to an appointment.  Please provide all details on the form to include all countries and likely areas that you will be visiting

Please give us at least 2 months’ notice to travel date as you may require a course of vaccines and to be able to order stock into surgery for you.

Please note some vaccines will incur a charge and we do not give these in the surgery.  You may need to attend a travel clinic if these vaccines are needed for your travel destination.

Chargeable vaccines that are not free on the NHS include:

  • Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis
  • meningitis vaccines
  • rabies
  • tuberculosis (TB)
  • yellow fever.

For any of the abovementioned vaccines you need to attend a travel clinic if these vaccines are needed for your travel destination.
