Access System

Patients can inform us of a new or ongoing health problem, request a repeat prescription or a sick note and many other services via our Klinik system.  Simply visit our website and click on the “start here” banner.

We expect this to take you around 5-10 minutes, and you can do this from anywhere on your phone or any other electronic device.  You do not need a log in.

If you cannot go online, please telephone 01454 616262 and you will be directed to our Patient Co-ordinator team who will submit the Klinik request on your behalf.  Please note, the team cannot book appointments directly, and your enquiry will go via Klinik for assessment.

You will then be contacted either by phone or text message to either deal directly with your request or to advise when it will be dealt with.  We aim to contact you as soon as possible, but certainly within the day an acute request has been submitted.  More routine issues can take longer, including where appropriate pre-bookable appointments; we will contact you to inform you if your request will be dealt with the next day or beyond.

Documents

Information about software issue that prevents documents from being visible to patients.

We understand that some of our patients may have encountered difficulties viewing certain documents (e.g. letters from the hospital) due to a software problem. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are pleased to inform you that this issue has been resolved for new documents being added onto the system. It may take up to a month for older documents to become visible.

Your GP team will have been able to access the letters so your care will not have been affected during this time.

Patient Notice - Please do not come to the surgery if you have any symptoms of Covid
If you experience a new continuous cough or high temperature of 37.8 degrees or higher, please stay at home and SELF ISOLATE without any testing for COVID-19 regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases.  If you feel you cannot manage at home, please use the NHS 111 website (people should only call NHS 111 if they cannot get online).  The NHS has put in place these measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.  Anyone who meets the above criteria is advised not to go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital but should stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. More Information: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Like the common cold, coronavirus infection usually occurs through close contact with a person with novel coronavirus via cough and sneezes or hand contact. A person can also be infected by touching contaminated surfaces if they do not wash their hands. Testing of suspected coronavirus cases is carried out in line with strict regulations. This means that suspected cases are kept in isolation, away from public areas of the hospital and returned home also in isolation. Any equipment that comes into contact with suspected cases are thoroughly cleaned as appropriate. Specific guidance has also been shared with NHS staff to help safeguard them and others. Patients can be reassured that their safety is a top priority, and is encouraged to attend all appointments as usual.

Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:

Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.

Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
