Test Results
When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and call the surgery between 2:00 - 6:30 pm once sufficient time has elapsed. Blood results can take up to 10 days and other tests can take longer. If there is a need to contact you earlier we will. However, it is your responsibility to contact the surgery for your results and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor. Please do not ask the receptionist the meaning of the results, as they are not clinically trained.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to or their guardian unless prior permission for disclosure of results has been given or if they are not capable of understanding them.
